Languid
graphite on wood panel
Drawing on wood panel composed of a two column grid creating a series of diptychs displaying an object (a stone) and an abstracted or (d)evolved version of the same object. The composition is in reference to Jun Takahashi’s SS2004 collection for Undercover titled Languid, as well as much of Félix González-Torres’s work, such as “Untitled" (Perfect Lovers) and “Untitled” (March 5th) #2.
Documented here in the Shifting Cycles exhibition at Ilwaco Art Gallery's inaugural opening as part of Sou'Wester Arts Week, March 2023 — Ilwaco, WA.
